KWR International to Support CSFB DNA’s
New Sovereign Data+ Information Service
NEW YORK--September
10, 2003
KWR
International, Inc. (KWR) announces the formation of an alliance
with Credit Suisse First Boston Data & Analytics, LLC (CSFB
DNA), in which it will provide a range of consulting services to
corporate, market and financial professionals who subscribe to CSFB
DNA’s new Sovereign Data+ (SD+) Internet-based information
service.
CSFB DNA’s new SD+ website features enhanced coverage of approximately
100 major economies, including comprehensive forecasts with links
to news, financial market information (fixed income, equity, foreign
exchange) and critical country-specific background information.
In addition, SD+ provides analytic tools that interpret sovereign
risk and allow for the retention of superior comparative information
in one easy-to-use location.
Keith W. Rabin, President of KWR noted “In addition to the
information provided by CSFB, the World Bank and IMF, SD+ clients
will have an ability to move beyond the data -- through customized
research and support services provided by our global network of
consultants and analysts. We are pleased to join forces with CSFB
DNA and believe this unique platform will facilitate the ability
of SD+ subscribers to successfully navigate today’s fast moving
and increasingly complex business and financial markets.”
William Battey, President of CSFB DNA commented “This alliance
enhances the valuable combination of data, securities prices and
risk management tools offered by SD+ with KWR’s wide range
of consulting support capabilities. It will enable SD+ clients to
evaluate more fully other important country and industry risk factors
in their efforts to identify, understand and achieve their business
objectives”.
SD+ is the first product offered by CSFB DNA in an effort to provide
corporate, market and financial professionals with one-stop access
to enhanced securities data and analytics. Leveraging CSFB’s
global securities data platform, CSFB DNA integrates trader-sourced
securities price information with state-of-the-art analytical tools
to offer users top-quality market and economic insight delivered
via the Internet, as well as other delivery solutions through leading
third party distributors.
The second series of products now available provide for full access
to all fixed income and convertible over-the-counter securities
data in 6 currencies worldwide, priced by CSFB traders. This universe
of government, credit and structured products comprises the 25-30,000
securities that most major investors utilize for same day pricing
information or for quantitative time series analysis, which their
analysts perform.
Other tools provided by CSFB DNA later in the fall will include
a quantitative risk tool called “CUSP” (Credit Underlying
Securities Pricing Model). This credit risk tool will offer a risk
profile of each major, rated company which is useful for both credit
and equity portfolio managers and lending risk managers concerned
with monitoring company specific risk events and trading opportunities.
A company financial data site and an integrated news retrieval service
will also be released over the next few months.
