Bruce A. Reznik
Senior Consultant


Bruce A. Reznik serves as a Washington-based senior consultant at KWR International, Inc. (KWR); a firm specializing in the delivery of research, communications, consulting and advisory services to a wide range of public and private sector clients.

Mr. Reznik is a U.S. and international business lawyer who works closely with countries undergoing economic transformation. Since 1991, Mr. Reznik has been providing consultations, technical assistance, and practical seminars to foreign government and business officials, particularly from the former Soviet Union, Central and Eastern Europe and Asia, on legal and market reform and private sector development. Mr. Reznik designs and conducts training programs in support of legal and market reform. His European Union and UN experience includes working for over two years in the EU section of the United Nations Interim Administration in Kosovo. In this capacity he helped to create a new legal framework and private sector development strategy; and to draft commercial laws - including a Foreign Investment Law, Concession Law, Privatization law, and Anti-Money Laundering Law.

Mr. Reznik also served as the Senior Commercial Lawyer for a USAID-funded economic development program for the Republic of Montenegro and as a reviewer for the U.S. State Department of proposals of US and former Soviet Republic universities to establish programs in furtherance of legal and market reform. In addition, he has helped to develop numerous curricula and syllabi for training programs and seminars for foreign government and business officials from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Lithuania, Mongolia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries. Content has included commercial laws including contracts, business organizations, corporate governance, energy regulation, intellectual property, and securities regulation.

In addition Mr. Reznik has extensive experience providing legal services to U.S. and foreign companies and working with foreign legal counsel on various matters.

Mr. Reznik holds a J.D. degree from The University of Georgia School of Law in Athens, Georgia and a B.A. degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Mr. Reznik frequently speaks on international legal issues and has authored numerous articles for publications including: "Property Rights in a Market Economy," Economic Reform Today, U.S. Chamber of Commerce (CIPE), Spring, 1996; "Anatomy of the Legal Reconstruction of a War-Torn, Ex- Socialist Country: The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina"; "The Law of Foreign Investment in the United States"; "LTAS Diplomatic Insight Guide: The United States Government: Its Organization and Operation"; "Investment Contracts- The Hard-to-Spot Security That's All Around You," The Washington Lawyer (the official journal of the D.C. Bar Association). In addition he served as the editor and publisher of a corporate governance newsletter entitled "The Reznik Takeover Review".
